Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania!

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Boscard Tours & Travel representative. After a short safari briefing, transfer to Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital, where you can relax after your international flight.

Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of your hotel and prepare for the exciting wildlife adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its spectacular scenery, tree-climbing lions, lush groundwater forest and impressive birdlife.

After checking in at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive exploring the park’s diverse habitats including forests, open grasslands, hot springs and the alkaline lake.

Lake Manyara is home to over 400 bird species, making it one of East Africa’s finest birdwatching destinations. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons, hippos and, if lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions.

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

En route, visit the historic Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most significant archaeological sites, where the Leakey family discovered fossils dating back nearly two million years, providing remarkable insight into early human evolution.

Continue into the endless plains of the Serengeti, arriving in time for lunch before setting out on an exciting afternoon game drive.

The Serengeti’s vast open savannahs provide excellent opportunities to spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, leopards, buffaloes and numerous antelope species.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Depending on the season, you may witness part of the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of greener pastures.

Day 5: Another Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Look out for leopards resting in acacia trees, crocodiles along riverbanks, hippos in pools, and large prides of lions patrolling their territories.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart for the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area with packed lunch.

Descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa’s Garden of Eden.

The crater floor supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife thanks to its permanent water sources and fertile grazing lands. Here you may encounter black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, jackals, hippos and numerous bird species within a relatively compact area.

After an unforgettable day of wildlife viewing, ascend the crater walls and continue to your lodge.

Following lunch at the lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and over 500 recorded bird species.
